Ever thought of becoming a MENTOR? |
What does mean to be a mentor?
- I am willing to build a trusting relationship with a youth.
- I am willing to talk to a youth about topics such as friendships, relationships with significant others, sex, marriage, and future goals.
- I am willing to support a youth in making positive choices about abstinence.
- I am willing to spend one or more hours a week with a youth.
- I am at least 21 years old and willing to commit to spending at least six months building a relationship with a youth.
What mentoring options do I have?
- ONE-ON-ONE MENTOR: You are partnered with one youth with whom you are committed to spending time.
- GROUP MENTOR: You would mentor more than one youth in an activity-based setting.
- E-MAIL MENTOR: You are matched with one or more youth in an e-mail relationship.
