What does a mentor have to offer me?

• A trusting relationship where I can share about things that concern me, such as friendships, relationships, sex, marriage, and future goals.
• A person who offers support when I fail and encouragement when I need it.
• A trusting, caring relationship with an adult who will seek to get to know me and spend time doing things that we both enjoy!

What do I need to commit to?

• I need to be willing to spend at least one hour a week with my mentor.
• I need to be willing to commit to meeting with my mentor for at least six months.
• I need to be between the ages of 12 and 18 and ready to learn and have fun!

What kind of mentor could I have?

• ONE-ON-ONE MENTOR: A mentor who is committed to spending time with you.
• E-MAIL MENTOR: A mentor with whom you will have an e-mail relationship.
